ALLISON WAITE THERAPY
My approach to healing is anchored in a deep recognition of the resilience of the human spirit. Many of the patterns we struggle with today once served an important purpose. They helped us survive, adapt, protect ourselves, and navigate life's challenges as best we could.
I help adults heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and develop a deeper connection with themselves through EMDR, attachment focused therapy, parts work, and depth-oriented healing.

WHAT THERAPY WITH ME FEELS LIKE
Therapy with me is less about being analyzed and more about being deeply understood.
My style is warm, relational, curious, and collaborative. I don’t believe healing happens through judgment or criticism. Instead, I help clients slow down and gently explore the thoughts, emotions, memories, body sensations, and protective patterns that may be influencing their lives.
Many of the people I work with have spent years being strong, capable, and responsible for everyone around them. Beneath that strength, they often carry loneliness, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or old wounds that have never had the opportunity to fully heal.
Together, we create space for those experiences to be seen, understood, and transformed.
Whether we’re using EMDR, parts work, attachment-focused therapy, or simply having a meaningful conversation, my goal is to help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself and create lasting change from the inside out.
You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong. You don’t need to carry it alone anymore.
MY APPROACH
I don’t believe healing follows a formula.
Every person arrives with a unique story, nervous system, history, and set of strengths. Because of that, I tailor therapy to fit you rather than fitting you into a particular model.
My work integrates EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation.
I view symptoms with curiosity rather than judgment. Anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and relationship struggles often make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore those patterns, heal at the root, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

MY STORY
For more than 13 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of their lives.
My path into this work began with a deep curiosity about human behavior, emotional suffering, and what truly helps people heal. Over the years, both my professional training and my own life experiences have reinforced a simple truth: healing happens through connection.
Connection to ourselves.
Connection to others.
And connection to the parts of us that
may have been carrying fear, shame, grief, loneliness, or responsibility for far too long.
My work is grounded in the belief that symptoms often make sense when we understand the story beneath them. Rather than focusing solely on what’s wrong, I help clients explore what their experiences, emotions, and protective patterns may be trying to communicate.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training in EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychodynamic approaches. I am also a lifelong learner and continue to deepen my understanding of trauma, attachment, nervous system regulation, and depth psychology through ongoing training and study.
Most importantly, I strive to create a space where you don’t have to perform, achieve, or have everything figured out.
You simply get to show up as you are.
And from there, healing can begin.
